It’s a big news day for Google, with the launch of Android 17 and Wear OS 7, but that’s not the end of its announcements. There’s also a June Pixel Drop that adds some long-awaited features across its Pixel hardware lineup, as well as two additions to Gemini.
The upgrades are aimed at bridging an ecosystem gap with Apple, expanding AI creation on mobile, and adding a critical safety enhancement to the Pixel Watch. Google said they will begin rolling out this month.
Pixel phones get more connected
Quick Share had a real glow-up when it got AirDrop compatibility at the end of last year. The problem for Pixel has been its limited availability, with only the Pixel 9 series (except for the 9a) and 10 series getting the feature.
That changes now, with the Pixel 9a and 8a Quick Share compatibility with AirDrop for seamless two-way file sharing.
In another win for the lower-priced a-series Pixels, the Pixel 10a gets Google’s AudioLM-powered speech-to-speech translation. The ability to have near-instantaneous, natural-sounding voice translation is a huge win for travelers and those who want to carry on multilingual conversations but haven’t had the chance to take all of the language classes they want to.
Creators won’t miss a step
Screen reactions are all over social media and now they’re even easier to create on all Pixel phones with Android 17. Selfie videos are now built right in screen recordings, so that no additional app is needed to create a green screen.
The feature is available across regions and languages.
Bubbling up
A new bubbles feature lets users float apps like browsers, calendars, and Gemini over the main screen, maximizing multitasking. The feature is available on all Pixel devices running Android 17. Pixel Fold users get an exclusively bubbly update with a bubble bar. It’s a dedicated space to organize, move, and access recent bubbles.
Safety that speaks to loved ones
Anyone who bought the Pixel Watch for peace of mind knows that the Emergency Sharing feature automatically contacts emergency services when it detects a car crash, fall, or a loss of pulse. Now they can breathe even easier knowing that their selected emergency contacts will also receive an alert for the same critical situations.
AI creation on the go
Gemini Pro users are getting a new tool to take with them: Gemini Omni. It’s a video editing tool that lets users create and edit videos using conversational prompts and a combination of text, photos, and video clips.
And anyone with the Gemini app will now be able to use Google’s Lyria 3 music generator right in it. Lyria 3 lets users create music tracks with text prompts and images.

Android 17 is headed to Pixel phones now, and it’ll change the way you multitask

PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
